LEGAL BASIS

Punjab: Article 55 applies to a genuine release for consideration. Section 17(1)(b) requires registration because the deed extinguishes an immovable right; section 23 gives four months. If releasee has no pre-existing interest and consideration is the true price, conveyance analysis is required. Punjab authority property remains subject to section 43(7). The stamping note sets out the Article 55 position, including the Punjab blood-relation remission, and the registration note gives the fee.

Chandigarh: Article 55 and section 17(1)(b) apply to a genuine family release. Sector property must be reflected in the Estate Office file. The stamping and registration notes give the Chandigarh lines; the Estate Office record charge was not confirmed.

The purpose of collecting personal data in this family release deed is to identify the family parties, record the consideration and extinguish the releasor stated property interest through registration.
