Punjab: Sections 59 and 63 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 govern testamentary capacity and the formal will, not this non-binding administrative letter. This template is intentionally not drafted as a codicil or new testamentary disposition. The executor retains it privately with the estate file; there is no statutory registration fee, office or appeal route for the letter itself.
Chandigarh: The same distinction applies. The letter is not a will/codicil and is not filed in the Estate Office or Sub-Registrar as a property-transfer instrument. No statutory fee or appeal route applies to this private guidance letter.
