LEGAL BASIS
Punjab: Chapter IX of the Punjab Land-Revenue Act, 1887 governs partition. Section 111 is the application provision; sections 113-118 cover notice, parties and title/other questions; section 121 provides the instrument of partition, section 122 delivery of possession and section 123 affirmation of private partition. Appeals are under section 13, with section 14 limitation of 30, 60 and 90 days according to the appellate level. Exact partition fee/cost schedule was not confirmed.
