Punjab: The receiving Punjab revenue/development authority identified in the application handles the pedigree/family-tree material for its succession process. A single statutory section, fee, timeline and appeal route for every pedigree-table request was not confirmed from the sources used. The table is evidentiary and does not finally adjudicate a contested title/heirship question. For land in the revenue record, the Halqa Patwari of the estate holds the shajra nasab, the pedigree table against which heirs are checked when the succession is reported under section 34 of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887.

Chandigarh: For sector/estate property, relationship material is submitted in the Estate Office succession file under the 1952 Act and Chandigarh Estate Rules, 2007; there is no sector-property jamabandi/fard/mutation. For revenue-village property, the relevant revenue authority handles the family/pedigree record. The exact fee, timeline and appeal route were not confirmed.
