LEGAL BASIS

In Punjab, on a site allotted by a development authority under the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995, a water and sewerage connection is given only to the allottee on the authority's file, so a buyer whose transfer the authority has not yet recorded cannot apply in their own name. A connection does not regularise a building that was built without sanction.

This notice is given under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Personal data in this document is collected only to prepare, submit and administer the water and sewerage connection application, communicate about that purpose, verify expressly supplied property and approval information, and retain an evidentiary application record.
