2.1 This receipt is an acknowledgement that the amount stated above was received, on the terms stated in clause 1. It does not, by itself, discharge any obligation of the Payer other than to the extent recorded in clause 1, and does not waive any right of the Payee not referred to in this receipt.
2.2 Where clause 1.1 records that this payment settles the matter in full, that statement is conclusive evidence, as between the Payee and the Payer, that nothing further is owed in respect of the matter described above, and the Payee shall not thereafter claim any further amount in respect of it.

3.1 The Parties record that under s.269SS and s.269T of the Income-tax Act, 1961, a loan or its repayment of Rs 20,000 or more must not be taken or repaid otherwise than by account payee cheque, account payee bank draft, or an electronic mode of payment — a contravention exposes the person who pays or receives in cash to a penalty equal to the amount so paid or received, under s.271D or s.271E of that Act. Where this receipt is for a loan or a loan repayment of Rs 20,000 or more, the mode of payment recorded above should comply with this clause.
