Loan closed: __________. Security reference: __________. Filing status: __________..
LEGAL BASIS
Punjab: Section 26B of the SARFAESI Act, 2002 is the Central Registry satisfaction route. RBI's 13 September 2023 direction gives a covered lender 30 days after full repayment or settlement to remove registered charges; a Punjab authority-property file may require a separate update under the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act, 1995.
Chandigarh: Section 26B and the same RBI 30-day rule apply. For sector or estate property, any local charge notation belongs to the Estate Office file under the Capital of Punjab (Development and Regulation) Act, 1952 and Chandigarh Estate Rules, 2007; Central Registry satisfaction alone does not change that file.
