A. The Husband and the Wife were married on __________ at __________.
THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
5. Debts. Each party is responsible for the debts and liabilities that party takes on after the date of separation, and will not hold the other responsible for them.
6. The marriage continues. This Agreement does not end the marriage, and the Husband and the Wife remain married. Neither will marry again while the marriage subsists.
7. No admission. Nothing in this Agreement is an admission by either party of fault, and neither will use it against the other as proof of fault.
8. Rights to go to court. This Agreement does not stop either party from asking a court for divorce, judicial separation, maintenance or any other relief the law allows, or from asking a court to change the arrangements for the children. Money paid under clause 4 will be counted by the parties and the court in any later claim.
9. Living together again. If the parties choose to live together again, they will tell each other in writing, and the terms of clauses 1, 2 and 4 will then end. The rest of this Agreement will stay on record as the parties' account of what was agreed.
10. Settling disagreements. If a disagreement arises, the parties will first try to settle it by talking, with a mediator or a family member they both trust, before going to court.
11. Free consent. Each party states that he or she has read this Agreement and understood it, signs it freely, without pressure or threat, and has had the chance to take independent legal advice.
