Trustee Appointment or Retirement Deed

Answer what you can. The draft beside these boxes is rewritten as you go, so you can see exactly what each answer does to the document.

What you type stays in this browser. Moving to a new step asks this site to draw it, but nothing is kept anywhere until you choose to keep a copy — and closing this tab loses it.

Your answers

Nothing answered yet. There are 5 questions on this form.

Still to answer

5 answers are still to come.

Nothing is amiss in what you have written. The document is simply not finished, and the draft marks each gap where an answer will go.

  1. The trust and the change
  2. Who goes and who comes
  3. Trust property
  4. Signing and the record

Step 1 of 4

The trust and the change

For example: Sri Guru Nanak Seva Trust

For example: Trust deed dated 5 March 2018, Chandigarh

What is changing?Needed
Under what power in the trust deed is the change made?Needed

A calendar date — the day, the month and the year. Dates in a document like this are read against one another, so a date typed here can change what another date is allowed to be.

Read the whole draft

Clearing empties every box on this form, and there is no way back to what was in them.

The live draft

The draft, as it stands

This is the document as far as you have reached, not the whole of it yet — the rest appears as you answer more questions. It is rewritten every time you change an answer.

A long blank line — __________ — stands wherever an answer has not been given. It is left that visible on purpose, so an unfinished document cannot be mistaken for a finished one.

No answer has been given, so every place a detail belongs is standing blank. The shape of the document is worth reading even now.

DEED OF CHANGE OF TRUSTEES

This deed concerns the trust called __________ (the Trust), created by __________ (the Trust Deed). Change made by this deed: __________.

POWER TO MAKE THE CHANGE

The change is made under __________, decided on __________. The continuing trustees named below confirm that the Trust Deed allows this and that it was properly decided.

CONTINUING TRUSTEES

TRUST PROPERTY

FOLLOW-UP

The trustees will tell the Trust's bank of the change and have the authorised signatories changed if needed, will have the Trust's property records changed where the Trust holds land or a building, and will tell any authority with which the Trust is registered, so that every record shows the same trustees.

LEGAL BASIS

Punjab: A change of trustees is valid only if it follows the Trust Deed. Where the Trust holds immovable property, the change may need registration with the Sub-Registrar having jurisdiction under the Registration Act, 1908, and an entry in the revenue or local property record.

Chandigarh: The same rule applies through the Sub-Registrar, UT Chandigarh. For a sector or estate property, the change must also be reflected in the Estate Office file under the Capital of Punjab (Development and Regulation) Act, 1952 and the Chandigarh Estate Rules, 2007.

PERSONAL DATA NOTICE

This notice is given under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

The purpose of collecting personal data in this deed of change of trustees is to identify the retiring, new and continuing trustees, record the change under the Trust Deed and support any record update with a bank or authority.

If the matter does not proceed, the personal data will be retained for 90 days and then erased. If the matter proceeds, the record will be retained for the matter plus 12 months, except where a statute requires a longer named retention period.

Data minimisation: this document does not collect a full Aadhaar number, an Aadhaar-card copy, a password or bank credentials.

SIGNATURE

The rest stays out of view until every answer is in.

Reading costs nothing. Keeping a copy needs an account.

The opening of the draft is on this page as you answer it. Once every answer is in, the button below opens the whole draft, watermarked — still without an account. Printing it, or keeping a clean copy, is where an account is asked for. That is the whole arrangement.

A kept copy has to belong to somebody, and that is the reason for the account. There is nothing further to it.
