Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: 10 June 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which Kaagazaat offers refunds for paid subscriptions, wallet credits, and one-time purchases on the Platform at https://www.kaagazaat.com. By purchasing a plan or credits you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy.

1. Nature of Service: Digital Goods

Kaagazaat provides instantly delivered digital documents (in .docx format). Because every document is generated on demand from the data you enter, the service is treated under Indian consumer law as a digital good rendered immediately, not as a refundable physical product.

For this reason, refunds are evaluated case-by-case and granted only where one of the conditions in Section 3 is met.

2. Subscription Plans

  • 7-day money-back window. If you purchased a PRO or BUSINESS subscription and have generated zero documents within the first 7 calendar days, you may request a full refund.
  • Cancel any time. You may cancel your subscription from your account dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing immediately. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing cycle. No prorated refunds are given for partial months.
  • Annual plans. Annual subscriptions cancelled after the 7-day window are non-refundable for the remainder of the term, but renewal will not occur.

3. Eligibility for Refund

A refund will be considered if any one of the following applies:

  • Technical failure. A document could not be generated due to a Platform-side error and you have a transaction id from our audit log to prove it.
  • Duplicate charge. Your payment provider charged you twice for the same purchase within the same 24-hour window.
  • No documents generated. You purchased a PRO or BUSINESS plan, did not generate any documents, and submit a refund request within 7 days of purchase.
  • Wallet credits, unused only. Unused wallet credits may be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Partially used credits are not refundable.

Refunds are notissued for: dissatisfaction with document content (you control the input data), claims that a document was "not needed", suspected account abuse, or any single-document purchase that has been successfully downloaded.

4. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email customersupport.kaagazaat@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account.
  2. Include: your registered mobile number, the transaction id (visible in your dashboard), the date of purchase, and the reason for the request.
  3. We will respond within 3 business days with a decision.
  4. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Bank settlement timelines may add 2–3 additional days.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks filed without first attempting a refund through Kaagazaat may result in account suspension and forfeiture of unused credits. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks where we have evidence of legitimate service delivery.

6. Service Termination by Kaagazaat

If we terminate your account for breach of our Terms of Service (e.g., fraud, abuse, or illegal use), no refund will be issued for the remaining period or unused credits.

If we terminate or discontinue a service for reasons unrelated to your conduct, we will refund the unused portion of any paid subscription on a prorated basis.

7. Taxes

Refunds, where granted, are for the base price paid less any applicable taxes (GST) that we have already remitted to the government. Tax components are not refundable by us once remitted.

8. Stamp Paper Assistance: Manual Fulfilment

The Stamp Paper Assistance service at https://www.kaagazaat.com/stamp-paper is a manual fulfilment service. Kaagazaat acts as a paid agent that generates a Stock Holding Corporation of India (SHCIL) e-Stamp on your behalf and delivers the PDF on WhatsApp / email. Refunds for this service are governed by the rules below, which override the general subscription rules above where they conflict.

8.1 What you pay for

Your total payment has two distinct components:

  • Government stamp duty + cess (pass-through). The face value of the e-Stamp plus any Social Infrastructure Cess. This amount is paid to SHCIL on your behalf and is never refundable by Kaagazaat once an e-Stamp Certificate Number (UIN) has been issued. The obligation to refund a state-issued stamp shifts to the relevant state treasury.
  • Convenience fee. ₹50 (normal turnaround) or ₹100 (urgent) charged by Kaagazaat for handling, verification, and delivery. Refundable as described below.

8.2 When you get a full refund (both components)

  • SHCIL portal unavailable. If we cannot issue the e-Stamp within the timeline shown at submission because of an SHCIL or state-portal outage and you choose to cancel instead of waiting.
  • Service refused by Kaagazaat. If we decline to fulfil the request (incomplete or inconsistent information, suspected fraud, jurisdictional restriction) before payment is dispatched to SHCIL.
  • Duplicate charge. Same request paid twice within 24 hours.
  • You cancel before issuance. Any cancellation requested before the request status changes to PROCESSING (i.e. before we begin generating the e-Stamp on SHCIL).

8.3 When only the convenience fee is refunded

  • Issuance succeeded but delivery delayed beyond 24 hours past the promised window and you no longer need the stamp, refund of the ₹50/₹100 convenience fee only; the underlying e-Stamp remains your property and the PDF will still be emailed to you for your records.

8.4 When no refund is issued

  • e-Stamp has been issued by SHCIL and the PDF has been delivered to you on WhatsApp or email. The certificate is valid government paper and cannot be unwound by Kaagazaat.
  • Information you supplied (party name, PAN, property address, consideration, article number) was incorrect and you discovered this after the e-Stamp was issued. Per SHCIL rules, only the buyer (you) can apply to the state Collector for a corrected stamp or refund of duty. We will share the SHCIL acknowledgement receipt so you can pursue this directly.
  • Change of mind after issuance, or you decided not to execute the underlying document.
  • Stamp value above ₹499. These requests are accepted only after explicit price confirmation in writing; once confirmed the duty component is non-refundable.

8.5 How to claim

  1. Email customersupport.kaagazaat@gmail.com with subject line Refund - Stamp Paper - <Request Number> (e.g. SP-20260616-7P5M).
  2. Include: registered mobile number, the request number from your dashboard, the category from 8.2 / 8.3 that you believe applies, and any supporting screenshots.
  3. Decision within 3 business days. Approved refunds settle to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Important. Kaagazaat is not a state authority. We do not collect stamp duty; we forward your payment to SHCIL. Where the duty component is non-refundable by us, you retain the right to apply for refund of duty directly to the state Collector under the relevant Stamp Act.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to active subscribers and posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
