Wedding Planner Agreement

Answer what you can. The draft beside these boxes is rewritten as you go, so you can see exactly what each answer does to the document.

What you type stays in this browser. Moving to a new step asks this site to draw it, but nothing is kept anywhere until you choose to keep a copy — and closing this tab loses it.

Your answers

Nothing answered yet. There are 6 questions on this form.

Still to answer

6 answers are still to come.

Nothing is amiss in what you have written. The document is simply not finished, and the draft marks each gap where an answer will go.

  1. The planner and the client
  2. The wedding and the work
  3. Vendors and approvals
  4. Fee, budget and payment
  5. Cancellation and refund
  6. Disputes and signing

Step 1 of 6

The planner and the client

For example: Shubh Events

Planner's addressNeeded

For example: Neha Arora, Partner

For example: Harpreet Singh Gill

Client's addressNeeded

A number somebody can be reached on. Ten digits is the usual Indian form, and a country code in front of it is fine if you want it there.

For example: 9876543210

Read the whole draft

Clearing empties every box on this form, and there is no way back to what was in them.

The live draft

The draft, as it stands

This is the document as far as you have reached, not the whole of it yet — the rest appears as you answer more questions. It is rewritten every time you change an answer.

A long blank line — __________ — stands wherever an answer has not been given. It is left that visible on purpose, so an unfinished document cannot be mistaken for a finished one.

No answer has been given, so every place a detail belongs is standing blank. The shape of the document is worth reading even now.

WEDDING PLANNER AGREEMENT

BETWEEN

__________, of __________, acting through __________ (the "Planner");

AND

__________, of __________, mobile __________ (the "Client").

  1. 1. THE WORK

1.4 The Planner will carry out the work with reasonable skill and care, keep the Client told of progress, and answer the Client's messages within a reasonable time.

  1. 2. VENDORS

2.1 The Planner will suggest vendors with care, tell the Client their names, rates and terms in writing, and book a vendor only after the Client approves that vendor in writing. The Planner will give the Client a copy of every vendor contract.

2.3 Where this Agreement has the Client pay the Planner for the vendors, the Planner uses that money only to pay the vendors and arrangements it was given for, keeps it apart from the Planner's own funds, and does not use it for any other purpose.

  1. 3. BUDGET AND APPROVALS
  1. 4. FEE AND PAYMENT
  1. 5. IF A VENDOR FAILS

5.1 If a vendor fails to attend, cancels or does not do what was agreed, the Planner will tell the Client at once and take all reasonable steps to arrange the best replacement available, and will try to recover from the vendor any money already paid to it.

5.2 If the failure happened because the Planner did not choose, brief or follow up the vendor with reasonable care, or broke this Agreement, the Planner bears the reasonable extra cost of the replacement. In any other case the Client bears that extra cost, and the Planner has no further liability for the vendor's failure.

  1. 6. IF THE CLIENT CANCELS
  1. 7. IF THE PLANNER CANNOT CONTINUE

7.2 If the wedding cannot take place because of something neither party controls, such as a fire, a flood or an order of a public authority, clause 6.2 applies to the vendor money, and the Planner refunds the part of its fee advance that is more than the fair price of the work already done.

  1. 8. GENERAL

8.1 This Agreement is the whole understanding between the parties about the planning and management of this wedding. A change is valid only if it is in writing and both parties sign it or both confirm it in a written message.

The rest stays out of view until every answer is in.

Reading costs nothing. Keeping a copy needs an account.

The opening of the draft is on this page as you answer it. Once every answer is in, the button below opens the whole draft, watermarked — still without an account. Printing it, or keeping a clean copy, is where an account is asked for. That is the whole arrangement.

A kept copy has to belong to somebody, and that is the reason for the account. There is nothing further to it.
