Aadhaar Name/DOB Correction Declaration

ਕਦੋਂ ਲੋੜ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ

Your name or date of birth is wrong on your Aadhaar card — a spelling error made at enrolment, a name that changed on marriage, or a date of birth recorded from an estimate rather than a document — and the Unique Identification Authority of India's own correction process, through the Self Service Update Portal, the myAadhaar portal, or an Aadhaar Seva Kendra, asks you to submit a document it accepts as proof, together with a signed declaration of what the correct particulars are and how the error arose. Aadhaar enrolment and update is governed by the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 and the regulations made under it, which apply identically wherever in India the correction is made; what differs between Punjab and Chandigarh is only where this declaration is notarised, if the update centre you use asks for a notarised copy rather than a plain signed one. Not for: adding or correcting a mobile number or email address, which needs no supporting document and no declaration; correcting an address, which Aadhaar allows on a simple self-declaration without independent proof in defined circumstances; or a first Aadhaar enrolment, which is a different process entirely.

ਹੇਠਾਂ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਿੱਥੇ-ਕਿੱਥੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬਦਲਦੀ ਹੈ — ਭਾਵ ਹੇਠਲੀਆਂ ਰਕਮਾਂ ਉਹੀ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਦਰਾਂ ਬਦਲਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਬ-ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਠੀਕ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
