Modular Kitchen and Wardrobe Fitting Agreement

Answer what you can. The draft beside these boxes is rewritten as you go, so you can see exactly what each answer does to the document.

What you type stays in this browser. Moving to a new step asks this site to draw it, but nothing is kept anywhere until you choose to keep a copy — and closing this tab loses it.

Your answers

Nothing answered yet. There are 5 questions on this form.

Still to answer

4 answers are still to come.

Nothing is amiss in what you have written. The document is simply not finished, and the draft marks each gap where an answer will go.

  1. The Owner and the Contractor
  2. What is supplied and installed
  3. Price and payment
  4. Delivery, installation and warranty
  5. Signing

Clearing empties every box on this form, and there is no way back to what was in them.

The live draft

The draft, as it stands

This is the document as far as you have reached, not the whole of it yet — the rest appears as you answer more questions. It is rewritten every time you change an answer.

A long blank line — __________ — stands wherever an answer has not been given. It is left that visible on purpose, so an unfinished document cannot be mistaken for a finished one.

No answer has been given, so every place a detail belongs is standing blank. The shape of the document is worth reading even now.

MODULAR KITCHEN AND WARDROBE SUPPLY-AND-INSTALL AGREEMENT

BETWEEN

__________, resident of __________ ("the Owner", which expression shall include the Owner's heirs, legal representatives and assigns), of the ONE PART;

AND

__________, of __________ ("the Contractor", which expression shall include the Contractor's partners, legal representatives and permitted assigns), of the OTHER PART.

The Owner and the Contractor are together "the Parties".

1. THE SITE AND THE WORK

2. MATERIALS AND BRANDS

2.2 The Contractor shall not substitute any material, finish, hardware or brand named above without the Owner's prior written consent, and any substitute shall be of equal or better quality at no extra cost to the Owner.

2.3 The Owner may inspect the materials on delivery and before installation. Material that does not match the agreed description may be rejected, and the Contractor shall replace it promptly at its own cost.

3. MEASUREMENTS AND DRAWINGS

3.2 Once the Owner has approved the drawings in writing, any change asked for by the Owner shall be agreed in writing together with its effect on price and time.

3.3 Units are made to the measurements and drawings approved. If the Owner cancels after manufacture has begun, the Owner shall pay for the materials cut and the work done up to that date.

4. DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

4.4 The Contractor shall carry out installation with competent workmen, protect existing floors, walls and fittings during the work, remove its debris and packing, and leave the Site clean on completion.

4.5 On completion the Owner and the Contractor shall inspect the Work together and record any item to be corrected (a snag list). The Contractor shall correct the items on the snag list within a reasonable time.

5. CONTRACT VALUE AND PAYMENT

6. WARRANTY AND DEFECTS

7. TERMINATION

7.1 Either Party may terminate this Contract on a material breach by the other that remains uncured for fifteen days after written notice, without prejudice to any amount already due.

8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

9. GENERAL

9.1 This Contract, together with any drawing, specification or schedule attached, is the entire agreement between the Parties on the Work and supersedes any earlier discussion.

Reading costs nothing. Keeping a copy needs an account.

The opening of the draft is on this page as you answer it. Once every answer is in, the button below opens the whole draft, watermarked — still without an account. Printing it, or keeping a clean copy, is where an account is asked for. That is the whole arrangement.

A kept copy has to belong to somebody, and that is the reason for the account. There is nothing further to it.
