To seek admission to a society's membership and share records after acquiring or being allotted a dwelling, plot or interest — possession or paying maintenance alone doesn't make you a member. S.15, Punjab Co-operative Societies Act, 1961 states who may be a member; s.17 governs rights after payment (Chandigarh: same Act, 1963 Rules). Tender the share capital/admission fee; state the property basis, eligibility, documents. A wrongful refusal is appealable under s.68(c) within 60 days.
