Form 95: application for a new PAN (individual who is not a citizen of India)
Form 95 is the application for a PAN for an individual who is not a citizen of India, such as a foreigner, a person of Indian origin or an overseas citizen of India. Protean's PAN page lists it for foreign citizens and says that a Qualified Foreign Investor submits it to a Depository Participant after filling in the KYC details. Everyone else submits it to a TIN facilitation centre. It replaces the old Form 49AA.
Issued by: Income Tax Department, Government of India (application form under rule 158 of the Income-tax Rules, as published by Protean, an authorised PAN service provider)
The form itself is in English, exactly as the issuing office prints it.
