Checklist for a fresh or revised building plan under the self-certification scheme (plots up to 2 kanal)

Owners of residential, commercial or industrial plots up to 2 kanal who file a fresh or revised building plan under the self-certification scheme.

Issued by: Estate Office, Chandigarh Administration

The form itself is in English, exactly as the issuing office prints it.

How to fill it in

  1. Download the set and print it. Fill in the printed blanks by hand, in clear block letters, with a blue or black pen.
  2. The checklist has 16 numbered items, each with Attached / Not-attached tick columns and a page-number column. In order, it asks for: 3 sets of building plans self-certified by the registered private architect with the sanction letter as in Form-K; Form-J signed and dated by the owner, architect and structural engineer; the security fee and its receipts; the cloth-mounted plans in triplicate (site plan; plans, elevations and sections; drainage and structural drawings); the architect’s filled checklist; and proof of ownership (allotment or transfer letter not more than 3 months old).
  3. Items 7 to 13 continue: a self-attested no dues certificate; a self-attested undertaking on ownership (with specimen signature, latest photographs and ID proof) and that no dispute or stay is pending; the sewerage connection or occupation certificate (or the proof of construction in item 10); an indemnity bond attested by a notary; a GPA / SPA copy and affidavit if the applicant is a GPA / SPA holder; and the authority letter for the private architect.
  4. Items 14 to 16 cover a case with no proof of a previous sanctioned plan (an undertaking from the owner(s) that the plan be treated as fresh with applicable charges) and the plot size being verified by the Surveyor. Tick Attached or Not-attached for each item and write the page number where it sits in your file.
  5. Under the table fill in the applicant’s block: signature, name, mobile number and date. The “Shortcomings if any” and “Accepted” boxes, with the scrutiny assistant’s and in-charge’s signatures, are for the Estate Office; leave them blank. The file holds the checklist only; Form-K and Form-J themselves are not in it.
  6. Where it goes: to the Estate Office, Chandigarh Administration, Town Hall Building, Sector 17C, Chandigarh.
  7. Sign where the form asks you to, check that no blank is left empty, and keep a photocopy for yourself.
