Date: 2 April 2026
By: Registered post
To: Harpreet Singh, House No. 45, Sector 21-C, Chandigarh
From: Aarav Sharma, Flat 804, Maya Garden City, Zirakpur, Punjab
Subject: offer of rent for the home at Flat 804, Maya Garden City, Zirakpur, Punjab
- 1. I am your tenant at the home at Flat 804, Maya Garden City, Zirakpur, Punjab since 1 April 2026, at a rent of ₹30,000 (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) a month.
- 2. I offer you the rent of ₹60,000 (Rupees Sixty Thousand only) for September and October 2026, by a cheque enclosed with this letter. The money is ready and I offer it in full.
- 3. When I tried to pay, this happened: On 5 September 2026 you refused to take my cheque at your house and said you wanted the home back. On 6 September your bank account refused my transfer..
- 4. Please accept the rent and give me a receipt. If you want it paid to a different bank account or address, please tell me in writing.
- 5. I have not withheld the rent. I am ready and willing to pay it every month as it falls due. If any rent remains unpaid, that is only because you have not accepted it or told me where to pay it.
- 6. If you do not accept the rent within 7 days of receiving this letter, I will consider sending it by money order or depositing it with the court or authority that decides rent matters, as the law governing this tenancy allows, which I understand to be the Punjab Rent Act, 1995. I will tell you in writing when I do. Rent for later months will be offered in the same way.
- 7. This letter does not give up any of my rights as a tenant. I am keeping a copy and the proof of how it was sent.
