Application for transfer of property on the basis of a registered will (CHB)

How to fill it in

  1. Download the form and print it. Fill it in by hand, in clear block letters, with a blue or black pen.
  2. Fill in the blanks the form prints: Name of the claimant, Your father's or husband's name, Your correspondence address, Mobile number, E-mail ID, Aadhaar number and the others.
  3. Attach with it: Duly filled application form. Affidavit of the applicant(s), on judicial stamp paper of ₹5 or more, attested by a Notary Public / Executive Magistrate. Indemnity bond of the applicant(s), on stamp paper of ₹15 or more. Three self-attested photographs of the applicant(s) along with specimen signatures. Self-attested copy of ID proof and Aadhaar / PAN card of the applicant. Self-attested copy of ID proof of the witnesses of the indemnity bond. Agreement to be executed with CHB for lease rights. Receipts of publication and processing charges (deposited online on the CHB website or at any HDFC Bank branch). Original death certificate of the deceased allottee / transferee. Original death certificate of a legal heir, if required. Self-attested copy of the allotment letter / transfer letter / deed of conveyance. Certified copy of the registered will / original will.
  4. Where it goes: Reception Counter, Chandigarh Housing Board (addressed to the Secretary, CHB).
  5. Official time limit: 25 working days, excluding the public notice (Citizens' Charter s2.3, Annex A).
  6. Sign where the form asks you to, check that no blank is left empty, and keep a photocopy for yourself.
