You are selling land in Himachal Pradesh to a buyer who is not an agriculturist, and the sale needs the Collector's permission under section 118 of the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1972. This is the Transferor's own sworn affidavit, filed with that application, satisfying the Collector that the sale will not leave you landless or without the means to support yourself and your family. This is one of three sworn papers a section 118 file commonly carries, alongside the application itself and, where the land is jointly held, the other co-sharers' no-objection affidavit. Not for: a sale between two agriculturists, which needs no section 118 permission and no landless declaration; or a transferor who is a minor, of unsound mind, or whose share is under the Court of Wards — such a transferor's affidavit is sworn by a guardian or manager, which this template does not attempt to cover.
