Since occupation is a licence under section 52, Easements Act, 1882, acknowledging these rules must not read as accepting a tenancy. Police-verification stays the owner/host's duty, not the guest's. Ordinary breaches get a warning; violence or safety risk can escalate under the main agreement.

PAYING GUEST HOUSE RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. APPLICATION

These rules apply to Aarav Sharma at House 118, Sector 35-A, Chandigarh under Paying Guest Agreement dated 09 September 2026, Room 2 and are issued/acknowledged on 1 April 2026. Host/operator: Harpreet Singh, House 118, Sector 35-A, Chandigarh.

  1. QUIET, VISITORS AND ACCESS

Quiet-hours rule: Quiet hours apply during the stated period with low-volume calls/audio only. Hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Device/noise rule: No amplified music or speaker calls that disturb other occupants.

Visitors: Visitors only in common areas during stated visiting hours. Visiting hours: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Overnight guests: No overnight guests are permitted.

Entry/security: Do not lend keys/access cards or admit unknown persons. Privacy: Do not enter another allocated sleeping area, locker or belongings without permission.

  1. SMOKING, ALCOHOL, FOOD AND CLEANING

Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the accommodation. Alcohol: Alcohol consumption is prohibited in shared/common areas. Illegal substances: Possession, use or supply of illegal substances is prohibited.

Cooking: Cooking is permitted only in the designated kitchen. Food storage: Perishable food must be kept in designated kitchen/refrigerator areas. Cleaning: Guest keeps allocated space clean and uses common-area bins/cleaning system. Laundry: Laundry only in designated area during stated hours. Bathroom: Keep shared bathroom dry/clean after use and avoid blocking drains.
