When you need it

An employer in Punjab or Chandigarh has come to the end of an employee's probation and is either confirming the employee in the job or extending the probation for a stated further period. The first question is which of the two it is, and the extension questions appear only if you choose the extension.

Say in the letter what has happened and from when. A probation that simply runs on with no letter often leaves it unclear whether the employee is confirmed, so it is worth writing even when nothing changes.
