Subject: Request to restructure home loan account X
Sir or Madam,
- 1. I am Navdeep Singh, of House No. 9, Sector 35-A, Chandigarh 160022, a borrower under loan account X. The co-borrower is X, who joins in this request. Mobile: X. Email: X.
- 2. The amount outstanding is ₹32,00,000 (Rupees Thirty Two Lakh only), the present monthly instalment is ₹38,500 (Rupees Thirty Eight Thousand Five Hundred only) and 180 months of the loan remain. The account is up to date. Recovery notices: No demand notice has been received.
- 3. My difficulty is this: My employer closed the Chandigarh unit in March 2026 and I joined a new job in June at a lower salary. My monthly income was ₹95,000 (Rupees Ninety Five Thousand only) and is now ₹62,000 (Rupees Sixty Two Thousand only). I expect it to improve as follows: Increment due after confirmation in December 2026.
- 4. On these facts I request you to extend the remaining tenure of the loan so that the instalment falls.
- 5. My proposal is: A tenure of 300 months in all, with an instalment of about Rs 31,000 from 1 January 2027.
- 6. I enclose: Salary slips for the last six months, bank statement, appointment letter of the new job.
- 7. I understand that restructuring is for the lender to decide under its own policy and the Reserve Bank's framework, and that it may carry a fee or a change in the rate and may be reported to the credit bureau. Before I accept, please give me in writing the revised instalment, tenure, rate, fees and the effect on my credit record.
- 8. I request that no recovery step be taken on the account while this request is being considered, and that I be given a hearing at the branch if the lender needs any explanation.
Yours faithfully,
