A student under 18 is going abroad to study without a parent, and the study authority wants a named adult in that country who will be responsible for the child: where the child lives, who looks after them, and what the parents have agreed. This is that adult's declaration, with the parents' consent and the care arrangements set out.

Not for: a parent's consent for a short trip (use Parents' Consent for Minor Travelling Abroad), a sworn custody statement for a child moving permanently (use the Custody or Consent Affidavit for Child Migration), or a study-visa sponsor's undertaking to pay (use the Study Visa Sponsorship Affidavit). Some countries have their own custodian form that must be used; this declaration is the custodian's own statement.

CUSTODIAN DECLARATION FOR A MINOR STUDENT

I, Simran Kaur, of 15 Maple Street, Brampton, Ontario, Canada, being Permanent resident since 2015, declare as follows:

1. I am the Maternal aunt of Aarav Singh, born on 1 April 2026 ("the Student"), whose parents are Ranjit Singh and Kuljit Kaur, of Chandigarh, India.

2. The Student will study at Heritage Secondary School, Brampton, Grade 10, and I agree to act as the Student's custodian from 2 April 2026 to 3 April 2026.

3. The Student will live and be looked after as follows: The student will have his own room in my home, share family meals, travel to school by school bus, and be taken to the family doctor when needed; an adult will be at home before and after school hours

4. The Student's costs are borne by the student's parents.

5. The Student's parents have consented to this arrangement, and I will keep them informed about the Student's welfare and schooling. I will tell the school and the authority if the arrangement changes or ends.

6. I can be reached at X.

7. I declare that the above is true and complete to the best of my knowledge, and I understand that the school and the authority will rely on it.
