When you need it

To change who is nominated to receive a member's share/interest on death. S.21, Punjab Co-operative Societies Act, 1961 lets the society transfer to the nominee, or absent one, to the heir/legal representative — a transmission mechanism, not a will deciding property rights. Punjab: Act, Rules, bye-laws; Chandigarh: same Act, 1963 Rules. State the membership, certificate, existing nominee if any, new nominee and replacement scope. Disputes: Registrar, s.55.
