When you need it

Use this when a broker is starting a search for a buyer or tenant and wants the brief in writing: the kind of property, area, budget, size, timeline, how the client will pay, must-haves and things the client will not accept. Both sign, so the search is later judged against what was actually asked.

Not an engagement or brokerage agreement; the sheet says so, and records any brokerage only as something the client has said. Not the Property Details Sheet, which describes a property being offered. Not the Deal Closure Sheet.

4. Client's confirmation

The Client confirms that the details above are correct, that the Broker may share them with owners and other brokers only so far as needed to find a property, and that the Broker has made no promise about price, availability or the result of the search.

Personal data

The names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses in this document are collected only for the purpose of this document and the transaction it records. Each party keeps a copy. It will not be used for marketing or shown to anyone except the parties, their advisers and any authority or court that requires it. A party may ask the other to correct it or, once the purpose has ended, to erase it, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows. No Aadhaar number, PAN or bank-account number is collected here.
